Are the Smokers Blocks found in Whiskey Barrel^® Charcoal made from authentic Jack Daniel's^® oak whiskey barrels?
Yes! Whiskey is aged in hand-crafted, white oak barrels. The whiskey develops its color, character and taste during the aging process. At maturity, the barrels are emptied.

The smoker blocks are cut directly from the whiskey-saturated barrel staves.

What is the best way to get enhanced smoke flavor when cooking with Jack Daniel's^® Whiskey Barrel^® Charcoal Briquets & Smoker Blocks?
● Before starting your grill, we suggest separating the charcoal briquets from the smoker blocks.
● Arrange only the briquets into a pile in the center of the grill. Once briquets are covered in ash, spread coals. Place smoker blocks directly onto prepared coals. Smoker blocks will begin smoking.
